Force your agent to pick up the latest content immediately.

Auto-sync keeps your sources up to date automatically - but sometimes you want to trigger an update right now, without waiting for the next automatic sync cycle. A manual resync pulls in the latest content from your source immediately.
In this article, you'll learn:
- When to use a manual resync
- How to resync a source
- What to expect during and after a resync
When to Resync Manually
Auto-sync handles most situations on its own, but a manual resync is useful when:
- You've just published a large batch of updates and want your agent to reflect them immediately
- You're troubleshooting answers that seem outdated and want to rule out a sync delay
- You've just reconnected a source after an authorization issue and want to confirm it's working
How to Resync a Source
- Go to the Sources tab.
- Find the source you want to resync.
- Click the three dots (⋮) next to it.
- Select Resync.
The source status will update to Syncing immediately, then back to Synced X ago once it's complete. Depending on the size of your source, this can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.

What Happens During a Resync
- Your agent continues to use the existing content while the resync runs - there's no downtime.
- Once the resync completes, updated content is available immediately.
- Deleted content from your source will be removed from your agent.
- New content from your source will be added.
Best Practices
- Don't resync repeatedly in quick succession - give the previous sync time to complete before triggering another one.
- If a resync doesn't seem to update the content, check that your source's authorization is still valid. Some integrations require re-authentication if permissions have changed.
- After a resync, use the Preview panel to test a few questions and confirm your agent is now using the updated content.
